From rap music and jingles to Haryanvi folk dances and songs depicting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar as the ‘saviours and transformers’ of Haryana, the BJP has launched a massive public outreach programme through a 15.22-minute video.
As part of the BJP’s Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra that Khattar will flag off from Faridabad on Thursday, this video clip will be shown on specially modified vehicles equipped with huge LED screens. The campaign will see 57 such LED-equipped vehicles reaching every corner of the state, providing information about key government initiatives and engaging with the public. The campaign will continue till January 26, 2024.
“The primary aim is to address local issues promptly. Self-help group stalls and the presence of district social welfare and district welfare officers or their representatives will accompany the vehicles, facilitating on-the-spot resolution of problems related to pensions, Aadhaar, Parivar Pehchan Patra, agricultural and horticulture-related issues,” Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal, who reviewed the arrangements, said.
“In addition to the stalls, health and Ayush camps will be organised to provide basic medical services and address any health concerns. For eligible individuals, camps for learning licences may also be organised,” Kaushal added.
Each district will have a nodal officer responsible for coordinating the Yatra activities. The vehicles will be equipped with promotional material, films, and digital displays to communicate the government’s achievements and policies.
To ensure participation, the government will also award participants. “Various competitions will be held for students…the winning students will be rewarded by the Government of India. Apart from these activities, the government will also prepare village-wise and ward-wise lists of beneficiaries of important government schemes. This will allow for sharing their experiences and highlighting the impact of these schemes,” Kaushal said.
The BJP will showcase its achievements since 2014, its vision, the reach of its welfare policies etc. The benefits of Khattar’s flagship policies, especially the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), direct bank transfer of social security pension amounts, 1.4 lakh merit-based recruitments etc. will also be highlighted.
Through the video, the BJP will also urge people to support the party to ensure the holistic and consistent development of the state.
The Centre has also launched a portal for the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra, necessitating the creation of user logins by all districts. Additional district deputy commissioners will be nodal officers, responsible for supervising and facilitating the Yatra within their respective districts.
“A common gathering place will be identified in every village and ward. The selection should be mindful of the village or ward’s population, ensuring a suitable venue for effective engagement with the local community,” Kaushal added.
“Standard operating procedures have been prepared with key details such as the size of the stage, seating arrangements, the number of attendees on the stage, provision of chairs, and the ceremonial welcome of the Yatra van,” said Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Dr Amit Aggarwal.
