A WOMAN has revealed that she gave her dated kitchen a mega makeover, whilst on a budget.
When Bethany, from Kingston upon Hull, moved into her home, she was eager to get to work, to replace the purple blinds, tiles and wallpaper that was not to her taste.

While some might be a fan of purple, social media users were quick to describe her kitchen as giving ‘Premier Inn’ vibes.
Posting on TikTok under the username @bethanyhome_, the DIY fan shared how she gave her kitchen the ultimate transformation.
Bethany shared a clip showing off her ‘DIY kitchen makeover.’
She said: “This was the kitchen just after we moved in.

“Really stylish wallpaper, purple blinds, purple tiles, basically everything in the house was purple.
“Firstly, the wallpaper and the tiles just had to go.
“I got some new tiles from B&Q for less than £10 a pack, prepped the walls, measured up and cut them down to size.
“Then we put the tiles on the walls, I say we but I only did about three.
“Then we grouted, I just went for plain white grout.
“Then I sanded and filled the walls and painted them with Dulux fine cream.
“Just in just a work in progress and the bright purple blind still in pride of place, but don’t worry it did get ripped down afterwards.
“Lastly I changed the handles which were really cheap from Amazon.
“And there we have it, that’s the kitchen now.”
Bethany later confirmed that not only did she pick up cheap buys from Amazon and B&Q, but she also got her stools from Dunelm.
Bethany’s clip has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 87,000 views.
It has 1,935 likes, 35 comments, 91 saves and 8 shares.
But social media users were left divided at the overhaul – while some loved it, others revealed that they actually preferred it before.
One user noted: “Looks so much better now.”
A second agreed: “What a great makeover- well done. It’s such a calm space now.”
Whilst someone else posted: “Love the new look of your kitchen, well done!”
At the same time, not everyone was as keen.
One person said: “Prefer the purple tiles tbh. Grey tiles and white cabinets are everywhere now, some colour stands out.”
Another added: “I really liked the wallpaper, very 70s retro and bang on style.”

Whilst another described her original kitchen as: “It was giving Premier Inn.”
