A CRAFTY fashionista made her sister a GREEN wedding dress with special messages hidden inside – and people have hailed it “incredible”.
Imogen Evans launched her own clothing label at the end of 2020 after leaving her job as a live-in nanny.
Her sustainable brand Imi Studios has a following of more than 75,000 people on TikTok and various big-name celebrities have worn her pieces – including Tallia Storm, Love Island’s Mal Nicol and musician Anderson .Paak.
But perhaps her most important client has been her very own sister.
Imogen told how she was “nervous” after being asked to make a wedding dress for her sibling’s big day.
Using £80 worth of material, the fashion fanatic got to work sewing the frock – and she decided to give it an unusual twist.
Not only is the dress inspired by her sister’s old “neon green” hair, but there are also sweet messages hidden beneath the fabric.
Imogen told her followers: “When we went fabric shopping we found olive green material which we thought would look cute with chiffon over the top.
“I got my sister’s fiancé to write loads of memories and private jokes to go in the lining.
“It’s a green dress with touches of pink detail, her shoes are pink and I’ve made her a pink bag with the same fabric.
“My sister used to have this amazing neon green hair and she was considering dying it back but decided it was too much effort.”
Imogen says the reaction to her sister’s dress was very positive as it matched her quirky style.
She added: “She is a jazz musician and wears a lot of bright colours and a lot of pieces from my brand.
“The response was great, everyone loved the whole day as it was so authentic and true to them.
“She looked unreal and the dress was super easy to dance in.”
The fashion designer’s followers flocked to the comments to gush over the unique wedding dress.
One person wrote: “The colour, the lining, the whole dress, the shoes… AMAZING! Congrats to your sister and way to go!”
Another said: “YES. Congrats to your sister, she looks like the coolest person ever.”
A third added: “That’s just absolutely amazing! The colour combination is pure joy.”
A fourth weighed in: “What a slay, she looks incredible.”
A fifth put: “She looks so fun.”
Imogen, who lives in London, custom-made nine looks for her pal Mal to wear on this year’s Love Island.
The Edinburgh-born pair filmed a YouTube video where they styled her iconic villa looks together.
And we told how a neighbour branded her jewellery as “deeply inappropriate.”
