PEOPLE are just realising they can use a male toiletry product to scrub the bathroom floor, and it’s a game-changer if you’re out of cleaning spray.
Cleaning enthusiast Christina claims shaving cream works just as well to make those loo tiles sparkle.
In a video, the talented lady films herself using a mop to scrub the floor around her toilet.
The floor is covered in bright white blobs that look like toothpaste but as she swings the mop around the wood surface, it begins to foam.
“Shaving cream disinfects and removes odours,” she says, as the foam helps pick up dust and dirt from the floor.
Christina’s hack has divided opinion, with hundreds of people commenting on her TikTok video.
One user said: “Everyone is so creative.”
A second replied: “Shaving cream absolutely does not disinfect, but it does neutralise odours and take away stickiness.”
In retort, a third user commented: “People in the comments asking if it really disinfects, you can easily look up that it does. It has alcohol in it.”
Shaving cream isn’t the only cleaning hack up this lady’s sleeve.
Her video continues with a tip to stop hair clogging up your drains.
Christina uses a long, slim piece of plastic with little spikes all over it to feed down her bathroom sink.
As she pulls the plastic back to the surface, you can see it’s caught a tonne of wet matted hair – and now the drain is clear.
Everyone knows the trick to remove limescale from shower heads, but Christina’s reminded us all regardless.
“Let shower heads sit in vinegar for two hours,” she advises.
Christina fills a small reusable sandwich bag with water and places it over her shower head.
Then she squirts a few spots of vinegar into the bag for it to work its magic.
Finally, she fills a cup with water and adds a denture cleaning tablet. As the mixture begins to fizz, she adds her toothbrush to help clean and disinfect the head between uses.
Christina has a huge following of 144,000 people on TikTok.
The ‘cleanfluencer’ posts regular updates to her feed, including how to clean the whole house with one mop – including floors, cupboard doors and even walls.
She also gives honest reviews on cleaning products.
In a recent video she used The Pink Stuff to clean her kitchen sink and gave it a solid ten out of ten for speed and ease.
