TBWA\Media Arts Lab, Apple’s bespoke global creative agency, has announced the promotion of Lucia Orlandi to executive creative director, Los Angeles. She will report directly to Media Arts Lab’s global chief creative officer, Brent Anderson.
Joining Media Arts Lab in 2021, Lucia has been instrumental in changing the way Media Arts Lab and Apple approach modern shapes of work across platforms with design and creative. The work she has developed for Apple is strong in strategic insight and adaptive in form, bringing this expertise to lead some of Apple’s largest campaigns across Privacy on iPhone, the launch of the iPhone 14, pushing the brand into TikTok and the most recent, Macbook Air 15” campaign.
“Lucia is a true multi-disciplinary creative thinker and leader. She cares, is deeply vested in and has driven forward how Apple shows up in the world beautifully, simply, and impact-fully on every different platform and on every surface,” said Anderson. “Lucia’s career experience provides her a unique capability and skill set to lead from the intersection of technology and brand building. She is a gifted aggregator of talent, gets the very best out of her teams and is defining modern shapes of the work for Apple that will propel the brand forward and into the future.”

Originally from Ireland, her career has taken her to Dublin, Toronto, NYC, San Francisco, and back to NYC again. In 2022, she served on the Cannes Lions Shortlist Jury. Lucia has been named a One Club and 3% Movement: Next Creative Leader. And she was named one of The Dots’ 200 Women Redefining the Creative Industry. Her work has been recognised through top industry awards including Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD & The Art Directors Club.
This news comes after a series of key hires and promotions across Media Arts Lab’s global offices. The agency brought on Andrew Kay as managing director of EMEA and Jake Donaghey as general manager of ANZ. The agency also promoted Jonathan George to executive creative director in India.
