According to reviews and tech-focused evaluation notes, the release of Tears of the Kingdom on the aging Switch hardware was smooth. With many video game launches being plagued by frustrating bugs, Tears of the Kingdom running well on the Switch has caught the attention of many fans. In addition to becoming the Zelda franchise’s fastest-selling game, Tears of the Kingdom has been rated as the best game of 2023 on Metacritic. Despite all its success, Tears of the Kingdom saw a wave of review bombing from a strange sector of the Zelda community.
A creative Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player, who goes by wiisportspro on Reddit, shared a video of them showing a guardian stalker they built in the game. This walking guardian follows the player to their destination, which could give them an upper hand during combat when it is armed. The original poster said the legs are made of cooking pots and are connected to a big wheel to make the stalker walk. A wooden wheel placed between the legs allows full rotation for the vehicle. In the comments, Zelda fans expressed their admiration for this machine, with some suggesting wiisportspro add a laser on top of it.
Thanks to the creative nature of Link’s Ultrahand ability, players are having fun with Tears of the Kingdom while testing their capabilities. They are coming up with all sorts of ideas, including a functional Armored Core mech, helicopter, and catapult. Players also have access to Tears of the Kingdom‘s Fuse ability, which makes the combat more engaging and leads to some interesting scenarios. For example, a particularly creative player has built a sword and shield based on President Hudson.
Tears of the Kingdom enhances the gameplay by introducing Zonai devices, which can be used to build vehicles and enhance weapons. Each Zonai device in Tears of the Kingdom has its own advantages, and they are powered by Batteries or Link’s Energy Cell.
