Ireland’s online safety watchdog has warned Big Tech firms headquartered in Ireland that they needed to do “a lot more” to limit the spread of misinformation as war rages between Israel and Hamas.
Jeremy Godfrey, the executive chair of Coimisiún na Meán, told the Business Post he has concerns about the spread of disinformation, the accessibility of harmful content, and the safety of children on platforms like Meta, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok and others.
